I live in NH where the ticks are thick in my area. The Rose Geranium Oil is working very well to keep ticks off my dogs. Between the Rose Geranium Oil and Tea Tree Oil, my dogs are tick and fleas free. I apply 2 drops of Rose Geranium Oil between the shoulder blades and at the base of the tail, twice a week. I apply 2 drops of Tea Tea Oil to the dogs collar every 3 days. Hope the info helps others. The Rose Geranium Oil smells fresh wonderful!

I can't believe that something that smells so good could get rid of ticks - but seems to work. Prior to using this product I pulled 3 ticks off my little 8 month old silky terrier. She's pretty much of an indoor dog, but evidently the ticks in Vermont are pretty prevalent. Since using this product and Earth Animal Flea and Tick Internal Powder that you can buy off Amazon I've had good luck so far so good. Love this oil. I use it to make my pups natural tick/bug repellent. I also use it for myself.

While some people said this product didn't have the smell they expected, the bottle I got smells very strongly like roses. I don't know how it is supposed to smell, but this is strongly scented. If you like that smell, there you go. My disappointment with the product is really that it didn't actually seem to do anything at all to repel ticks, which is why I got it (based on numerous online recommendations). Smells WONDERFUL. I use it in oil diffusers throughout the house. It's supposed to repel bugs as well and can be mixed with lotion or a carrier oil (like jojoba) and used on your skin and also on some pets like cats and dogs. (Note: I recommend you read up on the dosage/application before using this on pets, of course.) I will buy this again, most definitely.
