A carbide wheel that sharpened my axe well enough to slice through paper. It will also sharpen your knives, garden shears, and other bladed tools. All you have to do is roll it back and forth against the carbide wheels inside. No techniques to learn. The lid flips up for easy cleaning of filings. Should be called sharpener for dummies. Seeing mixed reviews and it makes me question their legitimacy. Gave it a shot and used it for some new and old knives, it did sharpen my newer ones that I would almost call blunt before however it completely ruins the edge of anything even slightly sharp. To summarize, it can sharpen dull blades to an extent, but not any better than a rock would.

Wasn't expecting such a flimsy product for the cost. Suppose it works but made of thin cheap plastic. Expect it won't last.

Did a great job touching up the Friskars hatchet I bought at the same time. I'm terrible with a sharpening stone or file, usually my blades end up duller than when I start. I have a great knife sharpener from Lee Valley, but obviously my axe wasn't going to fit in there. This did the job lickity split, super easy to use, and put a nice edge on. I have no doubt that a skilled user with a diamond file could do much better, but this is great if you're lacking that skill.
