The problem with other similar hearing aid battery cases is that they opened up in my pocket and the batteries were often lost. This happened even if I took the chain off the battery case. I had hoped to put it directly on my key-ring (without the chain). But in order to do so, I had to drill out the hole to enlarge it a bit. Easy to do, if you have the tools.But I like the design. It has a very positive lock to ensure it stays closed. I'll buy extras to have in my car, toiletry go-bag, etc.

for the PRICE ,it's way over board, I did purchase it after looking the item it's not worth the price the key ring is too small for any normal key ring

This case gets it done. I previously tried another type of case (marked with the Rayovac or other logos), and the little slide drawer containing the batteries would open in my pocket or bag because the locking mechanism was at the end. I eventually lost the drawer and the batteries at TSA. This one opens by squeezing the case in the middle, so it does not open accidentally. (I tested it, and I could not open it other than deliberately.) And it is no larger than the other kind of case. It cost...
