This is a stain not a dye. It worked better for my use and give a more natural effect. If you want a hard opaque color skip this produce. That is not what a stain is. If you desire a more translucent buildable finish you’ll be pleased with this. Know what you want before you buy. Don’t blame the product for your mistake.

The instructions are pretty easy to follow and is nowhere near as messy as you would think. Gloves would be necessary, but applies well and I restored a belt for my kilt that had very much faded over the years and this made it like brand new. After it dries, it does not rub off at least I did not experience that.

Product worked very well on my cars leather seats. Dried quickly and did not rub off. Since this was a stain, several coats were necessary to match my seat color but it did provide for the opportunity to closely alter the intensity of stain. A definite buy recommendation
