It was pretty easy to convert from my old camera housing and battery to this. The camera takes the new longer battery perfectly, and I just had to take down the old mount that's screwed into my house and screw in the new longer housing and pivot bracket. Then aligning the camera was easy. I usually get frustrated with items, but this was easy. I do actually recommend this. I hope it helps someone.

If I had the talent I'd do a stop-motion video showing my battery moving into this new home - like a hermit crab switching shells. But I'm not that good so just imagine it yourself. :-)A larger battery is great for my Arlo that's in a little more out of the way place. I can't really use a solar panel there so being able to swap batteries less frequently means less time on a ladder. That means fewer chances to die in a fall.So, it's not THAT much of a stretch so say this larger battery housing...

With the short battery life with the standard Arlo battery, I thought I would try this new extended battery (2.5X). So far, it has been holding the charge longer than usual.However, after using it for LESS THAN two weeks, the charge percentage went down from 100% to 80%! At this early stage, I am concerned about its long-term performance. I will keep monitoring it for a while and hope for the best with my fingers crossed...

Using in a spot that is active and the charge is holding up longer. You cannot use it with a magnetic mount because it is too heavy. Use the mount that comes with it.

Does not fit the floodlight as stated. The floodlight housing is curved. Arlo is garbage.
