I purchased a 1TB Samsung QVO SSD for my MacBook Pro A1278 Mid-2012. Computer was running smoothly for about a month or so, then one day after waking up my computer from sleep (as I never turn it off) I noticed I would get random slow downs for little-to-no processing activity. I updated my Mid 2010 MacBook Pro 13 with a new 500 GB ssd drive to get more speed and storage capacity. I ordered this cable to repair my mid 2012 MacBook pro. The cables mounting holes felt like they may have been a tad off, but it mounted in fine. I would suggest swapping the HDD mount with the original one. The quality of the actual cable is good, plugged in without issue and fixed my MacBook. Included tools are of decent quality as well, unlike most included tools. Overall, it's a good quality part for the price.
