I keep forgetting to put these on before I terminate the cable with the plug end. The one time that I didn’t forget, it worked perfectly. This package will last me a lifetime.

I got these because our racks have colored RGB "etherlighting" and I needed see the colors through the boot. They work well for that. They are made well. Knocking off a star as these yellow over time. The yellow color does not change the color pass-through... just looks grungy..

I was about to hate this product for not fitting my Cat6a cable that's around 7.3mm in diameter. I never looked at the other pictures, just the first one, and nothing in the description talks about trimming the tail to change the diameter. It wasn't anywhere near fitting my cable until I got it into the light and was able to inspect it closer and saw the markings for different diameters. I chose to cut between a 7.0 and 7.5, and was able to create the perfect snugness for my cable diameter.I'...
