Ii purchased this along with a replacment battery for our URC remote control, and it works great. I love how it doesn't take up a lot of room on the plug outlet.

It works perfect for the use I needed it for. The batteries are a little loose in the unit, but it works if you put it out of reach of children and don't bump it. If your remote is sporadically not charging, give this a try to charge a second battery outside the remote control itself as a backup. Before getting this, we had problems with the remote not charging in the cradle and as you settle down with your popcorn and fine red wine, settling down to watch the first episode of Game of Thrones...

This battery charger does charge the batteries, but since the battery charge only lasts a few days, I am not sure if it's the batteries (3) or the charger. My previous charger charged my previous battery for over a month, with daily use.

The charger for our Universal MX880 stopped working and I thought we were sunk. Then I found this little guy. This along with an extra battery keep my hubby happy 24/7.
