I got this because one of my dogs eats really fast (more like doesn't chew just swallows whole), and my other dog (when her and her daddy aren't out on the road) is a slow eater. The dog I got this for seems to get more excited to be served her food now then she was before, and I love the fact that she now has to take her time eating and there is no risk of her choking. This is a cute silicone bowl. I like the blue color, and the suction cups work very well. But, as you can see from the photos, the brands of dog kibble I use either don't fit or barely fit. Add to that the shallowness of the grid in comparison to the depth of the bowl, and it just doesn't work as a slow feeder bowl. Why did I give it 5 stars? This bowl is advertised as a feeder for small and medium sized dogs. I have a 13+ pound cat that could qualify as a small dog so I thought I’d try this dish on him. I like the design and quality of the bowl. Unfortunately, it did not work well for my cat because the morsels of food got embedded between the silicone walls in the feeder. I guess dog food morsels are larger in size than cat food morsels. If so, larger morsels probably won’t get embedded in the grooves of the feeder and this dish...

This silicone slow feeder is cute but extremely flimsy. Concetned it will not hold up over time. I will be returning it.
