this is one of the best slow feeders I could find. I have tried slow feeders with the big hump in the middle and other slow feeders with just a larger pattern in general, but my German shepherd managed to still eat way too fast. The size of this pattern is great to actually slow her down a bit. I tend to give her 1 cup of food, let her finish that, and then give her the 2nd cup. We just adopted a rescue dog that is 7 months old. She came from a hoarding situation and would inhale her food. I was a bit concerned that this would be too big for her since she is only 15 pounds. But this bowl works great. She still eats faster than I would like but at least now she has to work more to get the kibble out of the bowl. And the bowl seems to be well made. So I’m happy with this purchase.
