So far, we’ve only used these feeders for dry food, but they’ve been great with helping our new shelter kittens to slow down when eating. Great product. Cats love them. They will walk past a bowl holding food to get to the mat. Another benefit is they are slowed down from gobbling their food. I would give 5 stars but the mats are more complicated to clean than a bowl. They can go in the dishwasher though.

The design is great, and I can totally see the concept.. upon arrival there was a harsh chemical smell, like it wasn't washed at the factory. I cleaned both of the feeders a few times to make sure it was safe. My cat did not like this mat, initially I thought it was just his pickiness as cats do not like change, it can be very stressful for them.
