The media could not be loaded. For whatever reason, my cat eats some of his wet food and then goes back to it a few times throughout the day. If figured this would help keep it fresh and help keep it from drying out quickly. For those things it definitely works.It's very lightweight plastic that doesn't feel super sturdy but it just sits there so I don't see an issue with that. Been using it since it came! Seems sturdy and the kitties were intrigued when unit arrived. Keeps food covered so cats don’t get sick. A little noise when opening and closing, does exactly what it explains it does and has good instructions

This is cheap. The instructions are limited on how to program it. The lid keeps opening and closing as it wants even when there is no cat around. I have to turn it off so it doesn't keep lifting, and when I turn it back on it has to be reprogrammed. Just spend the money on something better. Do not get this.
