I just replaced eight incandescent 65 watt bulbs in our master bedroom with 8W Hyperikon LED bulbs. I also had to change out the old dimmer with one rated for LED lamps, I used this Leviton IPL06-10Z IllumaTech Universal 150-Watt LED and CFL/600-Watt Incandescent Dimmer. I had Leviton Dimmers (iPi-06) for incandescent bulbs in my office. I changed the bulbs to LEDs to save energy and the dimmers worked initially. After a time, the LED bulbs started flickering and I realized that my original dimmers were not compatible with LED bulbs. Bought and installed this dimmer light switch and was disappointed that it didn't work with the LED bulbs I had. The bulbs flickered when the dimmer switch was at the low setting. Read the instructions from Leviton and there is a very narrow set of LED bulbs they say are compatible with the switch. None of the recommended bulbs where truly what we liked so I bought some incandescent bulbs which worked fairly well.
