It spools up like a turbine engine and blows well enough to force you to move it from left to right hands to ease the strain (that's good, you want the strongest blower you can afford).It's strong enough to wear you out if you work it as long as I did. I used it as soon as it arrived. It blew me away. This is very powerful. Can be used on wet leaves. Well made heavy duty plastic. A bit loud, but tolerable. The variable speed is a great feature. The plug stays in my extension cord. No worries about it falling out. Easy to assemble. For the price it cant be beat.

I bought this blower to replace a heavier, older model that after using, my arms felt like jelly from the vibrations. It is much lighter, vibrates more like a carpet vacuum and has two blower speeds. It works great. part of my patio has a terrazo-like area that makes it very hard to sweep away small leaves. The blower takes care of that! I prefer a version with a cord because I do not have to worry about charging a battery. So the device is ready to use when I need it.

Even with all the positive reviews, and the blower being made by Black & Decker, a brand I trust, I was somewhat skeptical that it was really as good as everyone raved. I plugged it in this morning and I'm a believer! It's powerful, well balanced and not too big or bulky.I like the idea of a cordless blower, but the Bosch I wanted was $200 without a battery.
