Can't speak for durability yet, but it seems pretty solid.The only bad things I can say about it is that it can be uncomfortable at times because bottom is not padded, and it's a little heavy.HOWEVER, both the lack of bottom padding and the weight contribute to the stability of the platform -- feels like sitting at a desk!Oh, and it'd have been nice if there were more holes in the tablet/phone slots for cables, but nitpicking.Better than I'd expected from this.Better than I expected it to be

NICHE USER: I actually use this for my desktop so i can sit back in a chair from my big screen.To that end, Its study, legit real wood not particle junk, nice finish so no splinters, good weight, but if you have a heavy keyboard it can add up (i do...) the breathing holes are great if you have wired keyboard/mouse, as i run the wires through the holes, allowing them to be directed away from my legs in the chair. I was worried about the sizing at first, but if you look at the picture, I have about a quarter of an inch on each side of the laptop. I can’t use it without a small pillow or towel unless on a couch or propped up in a bed.
