I have used gimbals before for both smartphones and dslr cameras. This one is really a great unit for the price point. I’d say it stacks up nicely to gimbals that are more expensive like the DJI units.Its build quality is very good. It feels sturdy in your hands, not like a cheap piece of plastic. The battery life lasts a long while. I have done recording throughout a weekend trip and haven’t ran out of battery life. The app works well and the action is very smooth. This product might be good but you need to remove the camera case to use it and that is a shame. I have a iPhone 16 and thin case but the holder won’t grab the phone. Small change would make it great.

The unit itself is pretty darn good, but the app it's asking you to download. Well, that's a different story. It wants access to all person information with passwords. Don't think that's very wise. if you just use the unit and the automatic tracking you should be okay I think. At least for me it seems to be working pretty well
