my fourth of these,very clear and they can be connected. But they need to be connected before mounting because one slides into slots from the back,if mounted and you add another you will need to pull the first off the wall to connect them. The swing up lid will come off, lift it to about 90 degrees and lift the right pin up and pull to the right to free the left pin that is fitted in a hole. Eyeball it first so the pin doesn't break, they seem strong but why risk? If you think you might need ...

Good price and they do the job. Have 10 sets, 5 in the den and 5 in the garage. Cars look good in them and I added colored paper and foil for a cheap background so the cars stand out even more. Good quality product!
