I purchased the Black & Decker CHV1210 Dustbuster a few days back but found that the only thing it came with was the cloth filter (part#VF110) but nothing to protect it from debris beating on it. I also noticed that this cloth filter had notches in it as if something should fit over it. These notches seemed to also allow air, dirt and debris to bypass the filter and get directly into the motor which I would imagine over time, maybe a short time if heavily used, would damage the motor. I purchased the vacuum from Walmart because I needed it immediately. Little did I know that it was missing the hard plastic "filter" mentioned in the manual.
