this set is so soft and cute, and my rats LOVE it so much. they'll go in the log as well as on top of it. they often sleep on the top level of the hammock. admittedly, they don't really seem to like the bottom layer, but i think it's because it has more slack than they like. they still use it to parkour to other parts of the cage. they have held up fine in the wash, and are still very soft despite having them for over 6 months at this point. my girls like to chew their hides and they haven't ...

These are great quality! The chains, clips and metal circles they attach to are solid. I was able to pry the chains open in order to shorten the lengths a bit since they are quit generously long. Used the smaller log one for my 4 female mice and they love it! The hanging hammock is quite large! Much larger than I thought but I think I can repurpose it for my mice. I've always made felt hammocks for my rats, and although they enjoy the hammocks I make, they LOVE these two hammocks! It took them a bit to get used to the fact that they could sleep in the lower level of the hammock. Both seemed to enjoy snuggling on top of it more. They use the log one for their daytime naps, but my rat Piper also uses it to hide and eat his food because my other rat, Louie, can't steal from him. Highly recommend this product!
