These are fantastic tea strainers. The fine mesh holes don't let any tea through no matter how fine your leaves are, but they allow enough water to flow through that it brews a very strong tea.It has a little notch where the top and bottom lock in together. It stays closed firmly, but it's difficult to open.On top of that they're just really pretty! And the saucers are a nice touch that make it feel extra fancy without creating a mess.

They steep just fine but I have been spoiled by the plunger-style that lets you press out the last bit of tea in the leaves.

I needed Some new tea strainers. These had great reviews and the reviews were correct! These work great and are easy to use. It’s the perfect size for a week or strong cup of tea. Washes easily, and you can dump out the looseleaf tea without making a big mess. They seem of great quality and I’m thankful I went with these ! I swear my tea tastes better too.

Bought it for the star shapes on the side. Do it's job. One complaint is that when I lock the lid, it's not fully closed. It's not satisfying but overall there's no defect on using the item.
