I was very excited to purchase this cookbook, as I have the previous Heroes' Feast and enjoy it's recipes. This book is by far better.The recipes are layed out in a MUCH more efficient manner, and make better use of all of the space on the pages. The cooks notes are helpful and thoughtful for the cook and the person eating the creation. Lots of gorgeous photos for many of the recipes, but not a photo for everything. First, let's face it, this book is CUTE. I'm not a D&D player, though I am familiar with some of the book series that this cookbook references. But they put a LOT of money into making this book visually appealing, both from the food standpoint and the D&D background. More to the point, it is full of recipes that you feel you just HAVE to try. This one goes on my keeper cookbook shelf. Even my husband enjoyed leafing through it.
