I do also have an electric cordless can opener but when I forget to charge it I absolutely must have a back up, so I also buy the manual can opener in the brand that I have bought for my whole life. Swing Line is absolutely reliable. I've been tempted to try other brands in the past but this is the one that never fails me. They all need replacing every few years (depending on the number of cans you open!) when the blade dulls, but this brand definitely lasts longer and even my arthritic right...
