Purchased this to use in an educational setting. Our learners and educators check in and out for classes and workshops. Gets regular use from 70-100 people a day and so far no problems (in use for about 2 months). Set-up was very easy, just plugged it in, scanned a couple setting codes and worked immediately with our attendance software. The media could not be loaded. The scanner was Plug and Play worked great and continues to work great almost 3 years later. Had an issue with the cord after a couple years and customer service was extremely responsive and helpful and polite.

Bought one unit for a pathology lab to test, and possibly buy more. So far customer is very happy. Only thing they requested was the ability to mount it under/behind monitors so that they can scan papers all day long. Manufacturer should think about making it flexible by offering a mount/casing for those who would like the unit to tilt or mount in a way that it is facing down. We cannot mount these behind monitors because our monitors have curved surface on the back so the only unit we are us...

Bought Item to inventory Compact Disc Music Collection. Item reads most (90%) cd bar codes and does not read remaining 10% of cd bar codes/titles. Item does not have an off/on switch and thus remains on as long as plugged into the PC. Have ordered an in-line switch to allow me to use PC without having to unplug Bar Code Reader!

We plugged the scanner in and it worked perfectly. It seems to read barcodes from any angle, which is much better than with the scanner we were using (which was also a lot more expensive). I just recommended this to another Rotary Club that is using barcodes to track member attendance.
