i like how this lock uses a key and not a code. after doing some research i ended up going with this brand as it's very secure and trusted. my bikes are meant for cruising and not too pricey so i felt this specific lock would do the trick but if i upgrade to a more expensive bike i would look into getting a different lock by this same company.

Heavy duty lock and selectable combination. It is heavy, but it works great and I can't remember what I paid because I bought it a ways back. It does what its supposed to do and works like it should. I would buy it again.

This is certainly not a heavy duty security answer but provides some peace of mind. All bike security locks are a compromise. Either they are light weight and easy to carry or they are very heavy and clumsy.Being able to set your own combination is a plus and it is very easy to do.I am sure a good set of bolt cutters would go right through it.

For the price this Kryptonite lock is a quality product and perfect for my needs. I can wrap it a few times around my seat post, stick the key in my bike bag and feel pretty secure with leaving my bike securely locked up for a few minutes. Of course if someone comes by with a bolt cutter ,not sure if this would help much!
