This light is bright and durable. I prefer it among others for lights in hazardous locations.

It seems to work okay. I am required to use the "intrinsically safe" style of headlamp for work... They gave us a choice between using the company provided unit, which sucks, or buying your own, as long as it met the spec. I have used this for the last 6 or so months, in all kinds of weather down to sub freezing, and I have no complaints about it thus far.

This company needs to get their stuff together. I have been using the EOS 1 for many years (backpacking, dog-walking). My EOS 1 died so I bought the same EOS 1 replacement, and this one, the EOS 2. First of all, the website specs DO NOT match the packages. Per their website: EOS 1 has 4 modes. The Medium brightness is 185 lumens and runs for 2 hours, but the package just says 170 lumens, which matches...nothing. Again per their website, the EOS 2 has just high and low, and the high is 170 lum...

I got this because Princetec Tec support said it had a "physical" on/off switch so the batteries do not discharge in storage like some headlamps that require a tiny amount of power to recognize their on buttons. The headlamp was great for a year or two, but recently I was packing the light in a clear zippered plastic cosmetic case and the light turns on from what I can only guess is static electricity. Nothing was pressing the power button. I'm gobsmacked.I still love these waterproof lights ...
