This is an awesome little light, it comes with a USB-C rechargeable AA battery. With the battery that comes with it, it has good battery life/Brightness, to change Brightness level you twist the cap within 2 seconds of off and on. I bought a set of Ni-Mh batteries as well, as the Ni-Mh batteries offer twice the battery life with about half the brightness but is still bright and worth it. Absolute Garbage!!!!!! Used twice, went to recharge and if you turn it just A LITTLE too far the whole top comes off and little pieces go flying everywhere, a spring, a metal piece, a plastic piece and you will never figure out how to put it back together correctly. so 2 uses and garbage 10 days outside of the return window.
