I use the actual $130 Senheisser G3 mics and wireless systems every day for work. I bought these for my freelance video/audio set up at home and they have almost the exact pickup pattern and are actually a little more sensitive/louder than the originals. I read the reviews and also went to YouTube to learn more about this microphone. It was highly recommended and in a side-by-side test, I couldn't believe my ears. It outperformed the Sennheiser and other microphones up to nearly $150 among a grouping of five to seven other microphones. Wow.. I bought this unit as a back up for the lavalier that came with my Sennheiser ew100 g3 when I fond out the replacement is $150 dollars. With that said this mic works very well.The same quality is not the same as the original but with a small adjustment in the sensitivity of the body pack it pick up my voice from the same distance with no problem. It sounds great. I use it with a Tascam DR-05. The wind screen for the mic is very cheap and falls off though, but maybe you could tape it on or something. I've used this in a wedding to record the minister and the 2 weds all in one mic since they were all close together. They were happy with the result! They all came through very clear. Much better than the (dirt cheap) Neewer 3.5mm Hands Free Computer Clip on Mini Lapel Microphone (3X Lapel Microphone) but less great than I was expecting based on reviews.
