I bought this to replace my existing intake on my new REMAN engine that was on backorder for two years. The engine failed at 243,000 miles. These intakes have a habit of warping once they are removed because of being plastic, and the heat produced by the engine.The warpage is very slight, but there. This thing didn't last any time at all. There is something loose on the inside of it. Thought it was my my timing chain making a racket. My return window has closed, so I'm out $158 and 4 hours of my time installing and removing this piece of junk. I cheaped out and lost.

So, I have a 2010 explorer 4.0 that I had to repair some wiring on, to do so I had to remove the intake manifold and in the process I found a cracked vacuum port so I purchased the manifold above. Now I'm in the process of installing the new manifold after repairing the wiring (of course) and I had trouble getting the manifold to drop into place but once I got it there I started the closest bolts to the front of the motor (not tightening) and worked my way back. Great that adapter was installed already on on pcv valve connection. Awesome gaskets were pre-installed. Little oil and it was ready. Went in smoothly.
