Generally, it's advised not to use these off brand parts on BMW motors. I figured why not since it was free for me, and an easy part to replace. Kept it on my shelf for a while and installed it about a month ago.Shockingly it works well, and doesn't cause any issues on my M54. Additionally, it has a metal pin, which is really suggested for these valves, compared to the stock plastic pin that can break and fly into the engine.No problems yet, this seems like a viable DISA valve that costs less...

Great replacement part for a BMW X5 E53, at a fraction of the cost of anywhere else! Just check the part number against your vehicle on the realoem website to confirm fitment - the other negative reviews here I presume didn't bother to do that. Time will tell how it lasts, but build quality looked fine, and the o-ring actually looked better then stock. Comparable in price to a DISA re-build kit which have other issues, and much simpler to install.
