The purpose of this kit is to allow one to securely attach a Skylight smart family calendar onto a metal surface (e.g., refrigerator) without damaging that surface. This product meets these requirements by means of three large neodymium magnets encased in rubber (42 mm diameter) with threaded interfaces that screw into the back of the Skylight calendar. These magnets are strong and well-coated to avoid scratching the refrigerator surface. I included a quarter in my photo for scale, but the actual magnet is much smaller than the rubberized coating; probably just a bit larger than a quarter.When placed edge to edge, the magnets are spaced far enough apart that they don’t really attract or repel each other. They should hold the board securely, but larger magnets would provide better stability if the board is bumped. Still, I would recommend these.

Perfect for my Skylight 15". The magnets fit into existing holes on the back, with one little foam pad to help balance it out so it doens't wobble on my fridge. The magnets are very strong. I made the mistake of sticking two of them together, face to face, and couldn't get them apart without using a knife. The rubber fully encloses the magnet, so it's not going to be coming loose and allowing the magnet to scratch my fridge if I, for example, push the Skylight over a few inches. The rubber is...

I didn't get these for the Skylight calendar, but rather to use out in my shop for whatever I need to attach to a metal surface. I like that they're rubber coated. That makes them quite nice to use. Warning though to be careful when handling them, since when I was taking one loose from the bundle, the other two went magnet to magnet... with my skin in between them. Not the first time rare earth magnets have bitten me. But these magnets are really strong and will hold anything I want to attach...

I ran across this and decided to give it a try.This has the right concept however it does not function as well as I thought it would. The threads of the magnets fit loosely In the knurls.
