I love that it has a magnet on both sides - one to help with keeping the lid in hand once it’s been removed from the jar, and the other to keep on the fridge so you don’t lose the tool. I have been able to open quite a few jars and ruined zero lids - which was not how it went before this so I’m glad I bought it.

For such a small amount of money this thing works great! It seamlessly opens mason jars every time, and doesn’t ruin the lid in the process.

This removes sealed jar lids and does not leave a mark on the lid. The magnet on one side holds the lid after it’s removed, and the other magnet lets you stick the opener to the fridge. I really love the color with a bit of sparkle. It looks just like the picture.

My spouse loves to can in mason jars, so this tool was just the ticket to remove those lids without damaging them (although you should never re-use lids in canning). I love the magnetic feature to conveniently attach the unit to my fridge, as well as hold the mason lid when it removed. I took away one star because the magnet became unglued from the plastic after a few months of use, but that does not prevent effective use and it's just a matter of regluing.
