They are as pictured and very sturdy. They protect the floor well, have a divot in the middle for the spike as shown, and they allow the speakers to be re-positioned easily.I suppose if you have pets that might bump into the speakers then the speakers might slide. Their ability to slide on a hardwood floor could be a benefit or downside depending on your needs.

Dont be fooled lol....at first im like let me try these look kinda cheesy though. NOPE 100 percent beast solid carbon fiber dense heavy chunk. Using under my SVS Ultra Towers 75lbs each. No mods they just work. As for sound I cant tell you ive always had spikes so it sounds the same so far. I just wanted something nicer than the tiny little saucers that come with the speakers. These things are insanely strong and im sure they could hold massive amounts of weight. Very nice and heavy duty carb...

I didn't know what to expect when I ordered these to fit between the brass spikes on my subwoofer and the hardwood floor, but they're just hard-as-a-rock hockey pucks. I threw them out and found a cheap kitchen rug that did the job for me. Don't waste your money on these things.

The isolators appear to be a sandwich of hard rubber like material between two sheets of carbon fibre like materials. There is a dimple in one side into which a floor spike can be seated and centred. Overall this is a pretty stiff floor puck. It's hard to tell if it has any damping or adds any actual isolation. The rigid materials don't compress or flex in any obvious way. They look fine and do a good job of supporting roughly 50-60 lbs of speaker and metal stands.I have a reasonably good ear...

I picked these up to isolate a very heavy stand with 3 granite plates. I went with the smaller of the two options and they seem to work very well. I know others have stated that the indentation for the spike needs to be enlarged, but I can say for my setup, the stock indentation was perfect. I added some 3M anti-skid rubber to the bottom and this seems to be a perfect combo. These are carbon fiber throughout the entire pad.I have to update my review.
