This thing is a lifesaver. I have two young kiddos who can't quite carry their own gear yet so I end up carrying everything, and it is A LOT. This strap is perfect because I can attach my skis and poles and just sling it over my shoulder giving me two free hands again to carry everything else. I can't carry my skis and poles along with my kid's skis and drag him up the hill at the same time. I've seen some really basic setups that are like a piece of rope with two velcro loops. The pole holder has both a snap and Velcro for security. Walking from the parking lot to the bus and from the bus to the hill, was super easy.
