I ordered a key for 209 Honda Accord coupe. I received the key called locksmith. They got the key but they were unable to program it because it was the wrong key frequency.Now I'm stuck with the key. I cannot retain it since I cut it.Misleading advertising or the wrong component or wrong software that they are using in order to order parts. Very unsatisfied customer

I was a bit nervous about buying this key fob because I have paid up to $400 at a dealership for one. I’m so glad I bought this. Honda dealer said they wouldn’t cut or program my “after market” key/fob and tried to sell me a whole package from them for a bit over $400. I declined and found a locksmith in town who does these (there were several to choose from). He charged me only $29 to cut, program and ensure it worked. It did. So pleased. There were no problems with the key or delivery. My issue was having it programmed. Most places will not program a key that you did not purchase from their store due to liability. In the end, I ended up purchasing a key from a lock smith at $150 plus a programming fee so the key I bought on Amazon was wasted.
