I'm no good with size descriptions so I died a little when I got this. It clearly says how tiny it is but I didn't even read until I received the item in disappointment. I gave it to my 7 yr old she loves it.

I was frequently commenting (as a joke) that I needed a “crystal ball” to see the future. The one I got is just big enough to fit in my display cabinet. The only problem is that the stand is not deep enough; the crystal falls out too easily. A deeper stand would solve that problem.Otherwise, it’s a perfect little “crystal ball”!

The color, at least for the blue one, is from a coating on the surface of a clear sphere and not from colored glass. I purchased 9 sets, that is 8x9=72 spheres before I found out! The coating is missing in spots on many of the blue ones, and is easy to scratch off. There are other flaws inside the glass in some of them--not just the blue ones--that are easy to see.
