Love your Blue Snowball, but hate the giant wobbly tripod? Have minimal desk space? Get this! Simply don't attach the included microphone holder and screw the base directly into your Snowball instead since the threads are the same size. It looks top heavy but unless you really hit it hard (like elbow it or something), its perfectly stable and not going to fall over from just a tap or bump of the desk. As for use with a standard microphone, the base is a little on the light side so I would war...

Love these. Bought 3 Of them to hold my karaoke mics when no one is singing. Don’t like the look of those anti rolling things you put in mics to keep them from rolling. They look unprofessional. These look more professional. Nice sturdy base keeps the mic from falling over

If you need the shortest mic stand around, this is it. But there's a reason even the conventionally short stands are a bit taller. For wired pro mics, the height needs to include the xlr cable housing, which adds a couple inches to the length of a mic. With a mic like that on this stand there's not enough space for the xlr cable if you need the mic more upright, so you're ultimately limited to no more than 45 degrees. I saw it wobbling and checked it out to see that the base was not flat. I removed the screws from the base to see that there was cement inside, and it was deformed, pushing out the plastic bottom cap and that was why it was wobbly. To fix it, I has to use a flat head and hammer to chisel out layers and layers of 25% of the cement. I was finally able to put the bottom cover back on and it stayed stable :) Took about an hour and a half though.
