Exactly what I wanted, build quality looks good, I haven't tried it on any think wires yet but I'm sure it will do its thing. Definitely a good buy.

I am not a huge fan of the crimping portion of these tools but your not really paying for that. The main aspect here is the self adjusting stripping function, and these deliver. I think the crimping portion can just be there for convenience but I tend to rely on a dedicated tool for that so I can't say much about the performance here. I'm not an electrician, so my use of this wire stripper is pretty much limited to around the house tasks. Stripping solid core 12, 14 or 16 gauge wire is not a problem with any number of tools. Including this one. The type wire stripping that I struggle with is shown in these pictures. 18 to 22 gauge stranded speaker wire or solid sprinkler control wire. Just okay quality. And this applies to every component. The tool works but isn't very nicey made. The terminals are also of very middling quality. The case feels disposable. I think there are better kits out there.
