Was super pleased with the first purchase so I bought a second one. It’s kinda spendy but I think it’s worth the money. The file structure mimics your pc/mac…”folders” and “files” and it’s as easy as working with your files on the computer. I can’t comment on the sound though. I bought a small amplifier with both and have only ever played it through the amp. It sounds great through the amp…you can deafen yourself! It’ll crank up!

I bought this to replace a Sansa E280, which was getting long in the tooth and Rockbox installation was getting buggy. Paired with my Etymotic ER3XR I.E.M's The Walker H2 is a big improvement sonically and has a solid build quality. The first thing I noticed is that it has great separation. Bass is solid and not overbearing. Midrange is good, treble is a bit harsh at higher listening levels, but it's not objectional. The manual says the maximum capacity SD card is 256 GB but I'm running a 512...

But still not as good, software wise, as literally any Android phone.Basically for use with wired headphones, this would be my choice of cheap Chinese media players.Sounds ok. Bluetooth functions... but not well. Software... one step up from a basic usb drive.
