If you are looking for a great book to get your feet wet, so to speak, this is a wonderful place to start. I have utilized the Runes since the early 80's and have collected any and all volumes on the subject. Whilst they all contain mostly the same thing, every once in a while I find a book that throws a little bit of its own spin. This is such a book. Don't get your skirt ruffled my little snow flakes. You're not dummies. However, Mr. Simonds lays the very basics out in such a way that those even challenged on reading would be fine to understand. It's an excellent piece of work and an excellent introduction into a very deep pool

I'm glad I picked this one as my first book to learn about this topic, but it does have a downside.
