If you've used a full-sized reciprocating saw, you know that it zips through stuff like a tornado with control to match. This mini reciprocating saw saw isn't as strong and it isn't as fast as its big brothers; it took us a while to cut through the small branch in the photo, whereas a full-sized recip would have zipped through instantly. This reciprocating saw did not overly impress me after several uses. Its best quality is the compact size compared to most other saws. It is lightweight and easy to handle, and I did not experience any unusual fatigue even after extended use. I like that it uses Milwaukee brand batteries, which is convenient for anyone already invested in Milwaukee tools.
