The picture for this product is better than what was when I bought it, and honestly, had I been able to see that, I'd have chosen another color. The red of this stain is RED--REALLY, REALLY RED. This is great if true reds work with your skin tone,but for mine, I'm far too golden-y/pale to carry that off and still look good. LOVE this color, for best most natural look dav a bit on lips, mottle lios together, and use pinkie to blot color together, then do let sit for the 15 seconds recommended. A tiny dab of lip balm in the center makes it even more comfortable/not too matte

While the color i purchased, Loyal, was just a hint darker than I had initially expected, I am pleased overall with the wear and color of the lipstick. As it is a matte formula it does last for a long time (as of the wear today it had about 7.5 hours until it needed reapplication. I cannot say enough about this! I love love love the color. It is the perfect blue toned deep red for a retro lip look. (Think Gwen Stefani.) It applies like a gloss and dries to a slightly tacky texture. This may bother some, but to me, it allows me to know the product is still where it should be without needing a mirror.
