I have been a USA Hockey Official for 5 seasons now. I bought the Fox 40 Caul just as this season started. I love the low profile design along with the pealess style. I like that (to me) there is very little sound difference between this whistle and the pea whistles many of my fellow referees use. Love it, all of my buddies have the same whistle and it’s literally awesome. It’s loud and it sounds like what the professionals use in the NHL 10/10. It’s more comfortable than most whistles honestly

The picture shows the fox 40, THIS IS NOT THE REGULAR FOX 40 ! The Caul is a hockey whistle and is painfully loud. People definitely know who is blowing the whistle when they hear this thing. I don't use it for games (I ref Lacrosse), but I do use it as my backup whistle and my fight whistle. Nobody wants this thing going off in their ear hole, trust me !
