I really like the Fox 40 Pearl. I use it as a soccer referee. It has a very different tone than whistles most other fields will be using, so it's easy for (especially younger) kids to know when the whistle is for their game at the crowded tournament. Very easy to blow as a novice, so I recommend it for new teens. It isn't as loud as most whistles, so great for younger mod-field games (7v7 or 9v9), but it's plenty loud for even the noisy 11v11 games (had multiple mentors/assessors comment how ...

I don't think this model is as durable as the original really loud one. This is the second one that I've had. First one cracked and broke on mouthpiece (but this took about 3 years) this one is already showing a gap in the side where the side of the body meets the bottom curve of the whistle. It's only been a few months. This was the third one. The second to replace the broken one didn't produce the dual sound and was returned. My original black one thats been on the same lanyard as these bro...

I purchased this to use for coaching a swim team. Its loud and piercing enough to hear from the other side of the pool, even over the water and swim noise. Good quality!
