quite good and strong for holding my 16' portable monitor. The suction was so strong in fact that i recently moved it and realized that it had been sticking for the past week or so without the suction clamp being on. It was just so STICKY! the donwside is that it is all made of plastic, and in my experience, the plastic usually has a weak point that will eventually give out. so i prefer metal construction.
