These wire strippers are very easy to use, I needed to rewire some lights on my boat trailer and these wire strippers worked great for, and handled the task quite well. They have an adjustable length slide that is easy to set the length you need, I didn't need much wire sticking out as I was using a heat shrink connector. Once I set it to the length it required, it cut the same each time. I would recommend these for your wire stripping needs.

We are a marine maintenance end installation company that does massive electrical refits and electronics work daily. These strippers worked decently well on smaller gauge wiring but are very lightweight and plastic. They made it about 2 months before the cutting jaw finally broke off. Would not recommend this for professional use but maybe a home hobbyist that needs a decent pair of strippers for light use.

Got this after watching my electrician working on my boat's wiring.I've always used Klein strippers for wiring on land. They work great, and make tools specific for stranded wire. The problem is that the action of cutting is perpendicular to the strands, and so can cut through some of them if you are not careful. And the pulling off of the insulation always seems to pull out some strands of wire too. On solid wire (Romex) you don't have this problem, because the wire is all one conductor, fat...

First and foremost these are extremely useful and make wiring projects far nicer. Easy adjustment, easy to use.Build quality is a joke though. So much plastic it feels like you are holding a happy meal toy. I broke my first pair on 10AWG wire and know about 5 other people who had the same experience. The small tooth is only held in with a plastic part (as is most of it) and this broke readily on 10 gauge. If I wasn't given another pair I would have purchased some from a different company.You ...

This tool works great and better than any wire stripping tool that I have purchased in the past. It's amazing, actually. My only concern is the longevity of the blades. I wish they were replacable and am curious how long this tool will last when I rewire a couple boats. The price is high for what you receive. But it has worked great so far.
