I thought 10 inches seemed like it would be way too big, but i went ahead and got the 10 inch chain and it fit perfectly!! You would have to have super small ankles to get any of the shorter chains. I’m a pretty average weight and 10 inches was perfect. It looks beautiful and dainty and I get tons of compliments on it. I just received them today so I can't testify to their durability or sturdiness. I ordered one for each ankle and put them on immediately. They are dainty and shiny and perfect for me. If you are looking for an anklet that is big and bold then this is not for you. This is subtle and pretty. My past experience with rope chains has always been positive. They have always been reliable and not easily broken. So, I am looking forward to having these anklets and enjoying them for a long time.
