This is a very good item it is super bright the only downside to this item is it covers up the state name on the plate which may be an issue it should have been mounted under the plate but it will not reach unfortunately it is very super bright white light you can see it from a good distance however this may get you pulled over for the light being too bright or covering up the state name be aware

Original license plate light assembly had been getting corroded and became a yearly task in cleaning contact points for annual inspection. Came across this item and found it to be easily installed onto existing license plate mount. Now license plate displays a nice blue glow to it and matches the car body's color. Being somewhat a sealed unit, this light assembly should provide years of maintenance free use.
