My commute to work has the sun at awkward side angles basically 10 months out of the year. I had previously tried the cheap versions that velcro to your car visor, which just got stuck to everything and picked up fingerprints on the stupid sun dimmer thing that I didn't want anyway!This gadget, though... if all you need to do is block the sun completely out, JUST BUY IT. You will be immensely happy with how this sun blocker works. No velcro this baby--it just clips into place with zero effort...

The item is a little flimsy when fully extended. To solve this, the instructions say to wedge a homemade shim in a space when fully extended so it doesn't rattle. You then have to take the shim back out when you slide it closed."I wonder how many shims I'll lose in the car?....Hmm!"Pro: The unit serves a purpose and does a very good job once shimmed so I give it 4 stars.Cons: Since I have to get involved by shimming to solve a design flaw, this is very expensive for what it is. This is honestly perfect! I use it daily on my way to work and on my way home. Stays in place, easy to attach and can be moved effortlessly to help with blocking sunlight.

The clip that holds the extender on to the visor is designed 90 degrees off from where it should be. If you want to lengthen the reach of your visor you can only mount the unit on the end of the visor. The extender portion that pulls out to block the sun is friction fit, so when you try to pull out the extender the whole unit falls off the visor. See attached photo. If are shorter and need to extend the visor downward then this product would be good for that kind of application.

Too small to be useful. The clip holding it to the visor wasn't holding the "Buddy" securely so it would twist when operated. Returned.
