I bought this for doing ghost hunts. I know I know...but but other places are selling this exact item for three times as much and just putting their company name over top. From what I can tell it works well under normal circumstances I just need to become more familiar with the instructions. Don't pay more from someone else just for their name on the label!

The unit did not work for me in spite of using laboratory tools to generate fields. The unit did not react to these fields. In addition, the unit requires 2 batteries, which have to be purchased. Worse, the unit has 3 LEDs on its front, one for power, a RED LED for negative and a GREEN LED for positive. When you turn the power switch to ON, the power LED illuminates and if you are looking at it, it can blind you with its intensity. The same applies to the RED and GREEN LEDs when they illumina...

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. It doesn’t work even in the slightest degree. Gives out wrong charge all the time. Will just light a random light every time. Won’t light up many time even right beside a van der Graff generator. Or will keep lighting up randomly when not even close to charged surface. I spent hours trying all sorts of different methods to make this work. Nothing. It just doesn’t. I can’t even believe someone would actually manufacture and sell this unle...

This is capable of detecting charge, but it fails with polarity.Using a wimshurst machine, I can detect charge, but it fires positive for both sides (inconsistently).The only way to get the blue side to light up is by playing a lot with it, moving it around, tapping here and there.. and it's not just loose, there's something else wrongIt's really inconsistent, but does detect something, just don't expect polarity.
