I bought this ice bucket for a lemonade bar. I love the scoop holder built on the ice bucket. It was an 80 degree day and the ice stayed frozen the entire party. I think the value is great for the price and would recommend this ice bucket. Only suggestion would be to hand wash and not submerge in water.

This is absolutely what I have been looking for. I don't have an ice maker, so I buy ice. I hated keeping the ice bag in the freezer for obvious reasons. Space, spillage etc. This works perfect for me. Probably not it's intended use, but still a clear winner. That said, if using for entertaining, still a 5 star. Great ice bucket. Scoop and scoop storage on the side really helps as you keep the lid closed in between usage. You can see through the lid, so in quick passing it's easy to check on the ice level. Sat well into the next day before we finished cleaning and putting everything away and there was still ice in the bucket.

Bought this as a way to store extra nugget ice (like the Sonic ice) during a party. I don't know that we had a fair assessment of how long this keeps ice because I do think the nugget ice melts much faster than full sized cubes. It will keep the nugget ice for about 2-3 hours before there's a lot of water from the ice melting. It worked out great and I'm sure larger cubes would be kept even longer. I have used this ice bucket several times now, and it is very functional and a good value for the money. It has several design features that I particularly like...a holder for the ice scoop and an attached lid that just flips open.
